Updated to WordPress 1.5.1, and so far everythings looks like it’s working.

The comment spammers have found me! Fortunately, I only got a few spam comments last night, and I mopped those up this morning. I’m trying the “Binary Bonsai approach to spam”:http://binarybonsai.com/archives/2005/04/07/how-to-stop-spam/. I’ve installed the “Optional Comment Moderation Plugin”:http://theubergeeks.net/2004/08/25/optional-comment-moderation-03/, which I’ve configured to send all comments on posts older than 10 days to moderation.

Finally, my law firm is getting on the big monitor bandwagon, and just put a 19″ flat panel on my desk.

I suggested that Matt add trackback functionality, or a reasonable facsimile thereof, back to MetaFilter. This post is to test how quickly trackbacks show up on technorati, et al.

I tried Firefox on and off since the early versions, and switched permanently around version .6. Firefox is a slim browser, avoiding much of the feature creep that afflicted Netscape and the Mozilla Suite. As a result, it’s more nimble, but doesn’t necessarily have all the nifty features one might want. The solution to this is the extension framework. Read the rest of this entry »
